Hook Information from Game

I'm at a loss at the moment. I'm attempting to make a program that records information from a game, like kills, deaths, etc but a lot of different things.
Right now I'm not sure at the moment how to get the information out of the game.

Also, only reason I posed in VB.net is because this is the language I know most. Very willing to go to a different language if this just isn't meant for vb.net.

Any pointers will help, thanks!




Edit: I've looked into GameQ and the game I'm trying to make this for is not supported.
