Add a string to the .exe extension

Hello,
I am developing a program in VB express 2010, where I want to have different options when the program starts.
One option might be [ myprogram.exe "com-disabled" ] and another [ myprogram.exe "io-disabled" ]. I will then have two different icons, so I can select either one. In old days when I used VB4 there was a setting that would read the extension, but I can't find that in VB express.
Any suggestions?
