icons to load project

I use vb.net and vc.net for vb.net I use a pale orange background to the editor and for vc.net I use dark blue. I alternate often between writing code in either. but each time I change systems I must reload the environment.

I would like to create a shortcut icon to the particular design file ie .sin for the vc studio and .sln for the vb design studio and place it on the desktop. doing the above works but it doesn't save the environment so I still have to reload the appropriate environment. this probably makes sense to some but does make no sense to me.

semper concedo!
