VS 2010 Combo box like text box

Hi

I am new in vb.net but I have experience in vb6
I am using combo box vb.net 2010, with

autocompletemode = suggestappend
autocompletesource = ListItems

and

dropdownstyle = dropdownlist

my combox have 500 entries, what i want is when user type characters a cursor moves after each character so that user can see how many characters he entered same as in VB6.

Also if someone can provide me solution how to make this combo box as multi field combo box.

Please provide some solution.
