Authentication to domain from pc not on domain, but with domain ip address in VB.net

I have a small program that needs to try to authenticate to my domain from a pc that is not joined to the domain, and then run some code if it authenticates. Can you guys tell me the best way to do so? Any other information you need from me? The PC gets a DHCP domain address.
