VS 2008 VS 2008 Combobox in update form

Hi to all

I have download a multi column combo box from here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/982498

My problem is that me, my form is for update and when I press the dropdown they loses its original value.
How do I fill the combobox with all the values in dropbown without losing its original value;
